Logo Quality has a customer service base in Slough, Berkshire. Just a couple of doors down is a recruitment agency, MCA Staff. They needed a new logo for the new brand which was an amalgamation of several smaller recruitment firms.
Logo Information
Before our design team got to work Sareena Chinnery from MCA Staff provided us the following information about their new business and target market.
Company Description: MCA Staff is a new recruitment company name for what historically has been a number of smaller specialist recruitment agencies. We are going to create one branded website and this new logo will be on all our new headers, business cards etc…
Target Audience: Local big businesses such as O2, Lego, Citroen to smaller businesses looking to recruit staff. We compete with Kelly, Office Angels, Signet, Hays, Reed etc.
Logo ideas: Something corporate, professional but not too boring. Something attractive to candidates looking for a new role.

Amanda Bullock from Sheffield is starting a weekend photography business, Pictured Photography. She is keeping her full time job during the week for now to see if things really take and she can move into what she loves full time.
Professional Look
Although Amanda’s business is going to be part time for now it is still important to get the right image starting out. Without a professional image there is no way your business can make it to the next step. Today’s customers demand credibility before parting with their hard earned money. I’m not saying a great logo will make your company a success, far from it, but it will get your foot in the door and allow you to look better than your competitors. The rest is up to you!
The logo design
Amanda provided us with some information about her small business and asked us for a modern, professional looking logo. You can see below the new logo design we created for Amanda and Pictured Photography.
Starting a Small Business?

We have just completed the new logo for RussellGrant.com. We knew this logo would turn out great, Russell told us so before we got started! We created a great logo for Russell but try as we might he was unwilling to part with this weeks lottery numbers.
Logo requirements
This job was a re-design of an old logo. We do this work quite a lot. Companies will come to us with their outdated logos that are badly in need of a modern touch. The secret to a re-design job is to keep brand recognition whilst updating the logo to look modern and fresh.
Russell asked us to have a look at his existing logo design and give it a modern spin. He also provided some useful design information to us:
“Need to have a fresh looking, modern and amazing logo for the site - obviously brand name is Russell Grant Astrology, but the website is being re-developed into a lifestyle portal; astrology, horoscopes, fortune and the future.”

Russell Combe from Scotland has just started a new business, Eco33. The company will start online with a view to move into the high street once things take off. Russell came to us for the first piece of his company branding, the logo.
What is ‘Eco33’?
From the company name you can probably guess this business is something to do with ‘green’ products and/or services. Russell provided us with a company description and some ideas for the logo design to fuel our designers creativity and set them on the right path to creating a new logo for his business.
“Company description: A retailer of environmentally conscious products and lifestyle tools. Will be selling mainly from website. Business small just now but want a logo which will stand the test of time as business develops.
Desired logo colours: blue, green
Anything else you want us to know: This logo in its most basic form symbolizes the coming together of people and achieving something special together, something bigger and better than they would have achieved individually.”
The logo design
This logo design combines a modern feel with an eco friendly slant. It’s a simple design that will allow eco33 to springboard their branding effort cost effectively whilst getting maximum recognition for the logo.

Ash Taylor from Attack Tennis in Oxford was starting a new administrative business and needed a logo for the company launch. Ash also needed business cards, letterheads and compliments slips designed and printed.
Getting Started
To get a logo project started with Logo Quality you can either complete an order form on line, send an email to logo@logoquality.co.uk with your requirements or give one of our design consultants a call on 01753 208022.
Ash completed our order form and here is some of the information he provided to us:
“Company description: Provide administrative solutions for volunteers in tennis clubs to run coaching programmes. Completion of Tennis Club Mark for clubs (Lawn Tennis association ‘kite mark’). Coach Mentoring & Training.
Desired colours: Orange & Grey
Creative strategy: Fairly simple design with a modern look and clean lines - nothing too fussy. I want it to be inviting and inspire a level of trust.”
Logo Design Process
We use around 5 designers on each of our logo projects to ensure a really good amount of creative input and to give us the best possible chance of hitting the mark right off the bat with the first set of designs.
Here is the logo we created for Attack Tennis. See how the icon has it’s own energy. You can really feel the motion. The font we have used adds to the feel of sporting motion. This is a simple design that packs a strong punch. This design will also work well in black and white which can be important for say faxes or cutting down on printing costs for internal business forms etc.

We have just finished a really great illustrative logo design for Neil O’Farell of ICE 4 FX in Devon. I love this design so much I had to post about it.
What is ‘ICE 4 FX’?
Before starting the logo project for Neil, he completed our simple on line order form and provided us some information about his new business.
“ICE 4 FX will manufacture and supply crystal clear ice sculptures for weddings, parties, product launches and PR events. The products range from 1m high ice statues to solid blocks of ice with products or company logos frozen within.”
The design team took this description and began creating a range of initial logo designs. Neil was spoiled for choice with the range of initial designs we had sent but one design stood out and after only a few revision rounds he accepted the design you can see below:
